NP Plant and Tool Hire – Terms of Service

1. Hire Periods & Booking

  • Hire periods are flexible and agreed upon at time of booking.

  • Hire commences on the date and time agreed and ends when equipment is returned to NP Plant and Tool Hire premises or collected, subject to prior arrangement.


2. Identification Requirements

  • All customers must provide valid photo identification before any hire is confirmed.

  • Acceptable forms include a driving licence or passport.


3. Insurance Requirements

  • Certain equipment may require the customer to arrange their own insurance cover.

  • NP Plant and Tool Hire will advise at the time of booking if insurance is required.

  • The customer is solely responsible for ensuring adequate insurance is in place.


4. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery and collection are available within 15 miles of our premises at Unit 22, Beacon Court, Ollerton, Notts, NG22 9QL.

  • Additional charges may apply, based on distance and equipment hired.

  • Delivery and collection times must be arranged in advance.


5. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required upfront prior to hire commencement.

  • Accepted payment methods:

    • Cash

    • Contactless payment

    • Electronic payment (bank transfer, mobile payment apps)

    • Card payments (contactless only, no chip & pin terminals)

  • Hire fees must be paid in full before equipment is released.


6. Late Returns

  • Equipment returned after the agreed hire period will incur a charge equal to a full day’s hire rate per day overdue.

  • Late fees will continue to accrue daily until the equipment is returned.


7. Customer Responsibility

  • The customer is fully responsible for:

    • Safe, correct, and lawful use of all equipment.

    • Ensuring equipment is operated only by competent individuals.

    • Loss, theft, damage, or cleaning costs incurred during the hire period.

    • Returning equipment in the same condition as hired.


8. Liability Limitation

  • NP Plant and Tool Hire accepts no liability for:

    • Any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from misuse, improper handling, or failure to follow instructions.

    • Delays, non-performance, or inability to fulfill hire agreements due to events beyond our control (including accidents, legal restrictions, adverse weather).


9. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required prior to hire commencement.

  • The deposit will be refunded only if all equipment is returned on time, undamaged, clean, and in full working order.

  • Any damages, losses, or additional fees will be deducted from the deposit. If costs exceed the deposit, the customer will be invoiced for the balance.


10. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
